I go to the Walgreens near my house about once or twice a week. There’s a REALLY cute Asian woman who works there behind the counter. She’s not a stunning beauty but she is just really, really, cute. I’m friendly with her and I make her giggle because I treat her as if she’s innocent. I make quite a few woman giggle by doing that.
She usually acknowledges me when I’m there. By the way, I’m 55 and she looks to be in her mid thirties. But today I walked up to the check-out counter with a bottle of soda when she was there and nobody else was there. Man! She was just super friendly, and nice to me and all smiles. So I said my usual stupid things and we chatted for a minute. Now, I’m not going to say she liked me, or had any interest in me besides a little diversion from her daily work.
"Usual diversion from work…"
Curious if this is a term you picked up in therapy?
My therapist says stuff like that when I describe events that take place in my day to day.
