Waking up at night

Every night I’ll wake up from 1 to 3 times(most of the times it’s 1), I think it’s rather common for us and while I try to go back to sleep very often until I get at least 7h of sleep(which is what I need to function decently), sometimes I just turn on the phone or PC and stay there all the way until breakfast, especially if I managed to get 4-6 hours of sleep.

If you have similar issues, how do you stay motivated to go back to sleep? Do you perhaps take something? Eat? Have a ritual of sorts?

The other night I was thinking to open my windows to let fresh air in the next day. I fell asleep and in the morning I noticed my spare room door was closed so i went in and the window was open with a breeze blowing in . I think I must have sleep walked

I wake up at 3:00 am and take a 3 mg melatonin tablet to get back to sleep.

I sleep early and wake up usually around 10pm or 11pm and then go back to sleep later in the wee morning hours. I am a biphasic sleeper.

I have the same issue with sleep. I wake up at least three times and am lucky to get 7 or 8 hours. I take a nap usually during the day. I discussed sleep apnea with my therapist and a staff member at day treatment . I’m going to call my pcp pretty soon and get tested. I’m a little overweight and snore like crazy so I think it could be sleep apnea.

I usually have something to eat and drink. I’ll watch mindless tv for maybe 15 minutes until I start letting go of everything.
