My schizophrenia is making this really hard, I don’t know if I have autism or not but apparently it’s common to have both-schizophrenia and autism. I’m having trouble realising what autism actually is and maybe can think I am but I don’t think I am but it would explain why I can’t understand a lot but that might be my mental health I do not know. Anyone share some light on what autism means for you in social terms

I was diagnosed with autism later in life. I’d like to get a 2nd opinion maybe. But it does help explain a lot of my social difficulties. Most importantly, I have coping mechanisms to help with both my sz and autism

I have trouble recognising what others feel, but not necessarily what they think. Theory of mind is actually quite good on my part (I would say)
I get sensory overload a lot from different things, water, sunlight, touch/hugs.
I’m terrible at keeping friendships (mainly because of the top point).
I’m quite academically gifted and somewhat charismatic (when not shy) so it is often difficult for others to understand how I can have autism unless they’re close to me.
