Vraylar helps for my depression

I take it for only 3 weeks, and I feel way more energetic, stable, and confident. I finally feel beautiful to myself:))
And it is said vraylar full effect can be seen in 8 weeks or in even in longer period!
I am happy. I finally feel a bit more self-love:
Strange how one med can change daily life.

  • I need to add I struggled with low self esteem from the beginning of psychosis.

Finally ablify and vraylar made a change in my self perception: I feel more confident

Any side effects? I’m considering switching from Abilify

Nice that you found something that’s really helping. I hope it only gets better.
I should be starting Vraylar too in near future.

IDK if this happens because of vraylar; but my stomach hurts way more often.
Other side effects I didn’t noticed

I didn’t really get much of an effect from it other than regaining the insight that I was in danger of losing.

I actually just started vraylar about three weeks ago too, twinsies! I don’t know if you got it or not, but I had horrible akathisia and insomnia. It’s slowly getting better, and I have noticed certain positive changes in myself too.

Yes, still taking ablify @Medusa

It’s sooo great ! @Ubiqodi

I’m glad Vraylar helps with your depression and you’re feeling good on it. I saw similar sayings in online reviews for it.

Caplyta takes my depression away. Incidentally, it’s advertised for bipolar depression, which I’m assuming is a deep depression.

I’ve never read a lot about vraylar. But I definitely see some changes on myself.
It’s good for other ppl it’s helping too!
Thanks @HollyHobbie
Good your depression is taken away! Sad, that so many people struggle with depression… it’s not as bad as SZ, but it also can play tricks with our minds

I didn’t know that all these atypically worked that well for depression but it seems so. When I dropped most of my Seroquel than got in such a low mood I had never been in before.
Back on 600 mg qutiapine and the mood has stabilized.

How does Caplyta do for both your positive and negative symptoms? How long have you been on it?

I’ve been on it for 11 months. I have more motivation compared to unmedicated. When I’m unmedicated, I want to be in bed a lot and I push people away, socially sometimes.

I have no depression on it. That’s big for me as I had depression on Geodon and didn’t want to take an antidepressant. I always have bad side effects with anti-depressants that makes me not want to take them. Also, I’m not required to take an anti-depressant with my psychiatrist.

As for positives, I always have positives on an antipsychotic. However, my audio Hallucinations and visual hallucinations were better on Geodon. I can smile and laugh on Caplyta. I couldn’t on Geodon. When Geodon kicks in, it’s like a mask comes over my face and it doesn’t move with expressions a lot. The only upside to this is, I was told I am very even keeled on it. It’s important to note that I am very calm on Caplyta.

I also have bad sexual side effects on Geodon. It’s better on Caplyta.

I don’t have a lot of experience with other antipsychotics. I felt sedated on Seroquel and only tried it for a day. I was on Abilify for a couple of nights, and I was up, pacing the hallways in the middle of the night. It interrupted my sleep, so I got off of it. I can’t recall how my positive and negative symptoms were on Seroquel or abilify. I probably wasn’t on them long enough to know.

Anyway, I was on Geodon for two years and Caplyta for almost a year.

I take 6 mg of Vraylar, and it’s def a good med. It helps with my depression, and gives me some energy. Also helps with my positive symptoms. Overall, I like it.
