Did anybody try Vraylar (cariprazine) to help with negative symptoms?

i will tell you when i get on it. My pdoc prescribed it for me i am just waiting on a prior authorzation from medicaid so who knows how long that will take

Overall Im losing weight, awake about 16 to 18 hours a day and have more clarity… I’m being Weaned off zyprexa for health reasons so I’m scared I’ll start hallucinating again tho… Idk yet

I have been on it for only a day and its already working on my negative symptoms. I have mre motivation i took a shower brushed my teeth mowed the lawn took out the trash today which i wouldnt do usually. I havent heard or saw anything today too but that might be because of the haldol i only hear amd see things 3 times a week

I’ve been taking it for about 2 weeks and it hasn’t done anything for my negatives or positives, the only thing it does to me is I can’t sleep, if I back off on the dosage then I can sleep, I’ve been thinking about stopping it.

Bear in mind everyone experiences negative symptoms differently. Someone might just be talking about laziness or depression, or their sx might be a small fraction of yours, everyone experiences them differently. Some people see significant improvement with med changes, some people are strapped with them for life, and even more struggle for years before getting any relief.

Any update on this from you Austinsdad? How is it going?

I was on Vraylar for a little while, it was way too stimulating for me, and I got very little sleep on it.
But it did help with Negative symptoms and Depression.

They gave me free samples of it.

its going great no more voices or seeing things and my moods are pretty much stabalized

you should take it its a great med for me at least
