I’m thinking about getting one, I don’t think it is illegal.
Nord and Norton. Good way to stop ISPs from snooping. And the NSA.
I use ProtonVPN. Happy with them.
I don’t but they are good for privacy and I think they’re legal
They’re legal. Good for accessing streaming content.
A lot of people advertise Nord VPN on YouTube
They normally have money off codes as well
I found a free one I’m thinking about getting
Proton is nice. $79 for any country in the world.
i have a paid ($5/month) proton vpn plan but theres also a free plan
Vpns can actually be a weak link and entry point if they get exploited. Then your stuff is really exposed.
Does anyone know of a good free VPN? One with an app preferably?
Apparently Proton is free; idk if it has an app though
Just found out I paid $125 for 3 years of Nord; what a waste of money lol. I didn’t even use it all the time.
Norton is only £20 a year for two devices, and I can switch devices anytime I think.
I use Nord vpn to access restricted other countries contents like US contents, Peacock, Fox, Netflix US, France, South America, etc
I paid less than 40$ for 2yrs, it was a black friday deal and I used a 60% cashback app. Its for 5 devices. I share it with my family.
Nord is fast up to 300mbps but its still slower vs nonvpn for Torrent as I have gigabit internet.
Damn, I got bumped. I bought it when I was in hospital as well, so I wasn’t thinking straight.
I have a VPN
A VPN is perfectly legal in and of itself. One of my clients works for a bank and she is forced to connect to a VPN before doing anything on her work at home laptop to keep information secure.
If you use a VPN app on your phone you should know it uses your data while connected. So best to only use when absolutely necessary while out. But when you’re at home connected to wifi you can leave it on (assuming your ISP gives you unlimited internet). You should always use it when connected to anyone else’s wifi. Coffee shop, docs office, etc…
I have a VPN on my phone I can use to connect into my home network via NAS when I am away. It’s saved my ass a few times. I am considering getting Nord VPN though for those “Linux distros”
Have been considering a VPN, since I like to watch a lot of content not available to the US.
Dunno where to start, though, and I feel like I’m out of the loop with this sort of thing .
Last time I attempted any sort of computer thing was when I torrented Interstellar. Got an email from The Internet saying they knew what I did and to delete said movie ASAP.
…First time I’ve ever been caught in all my years and needless to say, bricks were shat .
There used to be this pretty awesome plug-in called Hola that would let one access like, international Netflix selections and stuff, but it was super sketchy after more peeps caught wind of it.
