Should I get a VPN?

I am using a work VPN at home on a separate laptop

But I wasn’t sure if I shared an internet connection with a computer holding official connection, whether they can see me on this forum etc

Not too bothered about people knowing what I look up online, but as this is a sensitive job, not sure whether it would be the right thing to do in order to protect myself when I come on here to discuss health related matters?

Do you use a VPN?

I’ve got one included with my Nortons and rarely use it at home. It comes in handy getting some regional content but I think my local network isn’t too bad and I don’t need one. Isn’t a vpn for like public servers? I am far from a tech expert.

I think so - I don’t really understand how it works.

Maybe I need to protect my connection was what I was thinking, as I didn’t know whether because I use my home internet for gov business that they can see everything I do privately

Will be remote working, so it will rely on my broadband

They can’t see anything that isn’t on the work computer.

Thanks @anon4362788

They were pretty openly invasive in what I do online when I did the security checks.

I had to disclose all my social media to them

But I don’t really class forums as social media, so didn’t mention here and 1 other forum

Yeah, they’re just concerned about Twitter and FB usually.

I don’t bother with a VPN but I don’t really do anything online I would want to hide.

Ive got a 3 year subscription to SurfShark. Dont have it on when i am on here. I only use it for playing USA Netflix shows, and geoblocked youtue videos.

I probably wont renew it.
