Volunteering interview

Tomorrow at 1:30 pm I have my interview at the mental illness clubhouse with the president.
I met her last week, I presented myself there and asked them for volunteering opportunity.

She asked me to send her my CV and we arranged to meet tomorrow.

I am looking forward and a little worried too.
The people there did not look very well/healthy/happy it was a strange place to be like a hospital I guess.

I have never had any problems with any interviews. I am not sure what she will ask me to do, I will offer to volunteer once a week to start.

I am also not sure if I should disclose about my condition, I have no clue but thinking of completely pretending I am a ā€˜normieā€™

Good luck!

I donā€™t think you should lie if asked about it, but thereā€™s no shame in keeping it to yourself unless asked. Itā€™s personal, after all.

Sounds good! Hope you do great. Wouldnā€™t say anything about MI if I were you. Get the job first, worry about other things later

They might like the fact that you have a mental illness. They say ā€œpeerā€ oriented resources are proving to be very effective. I know some mentally ill prefer to talk to someone who understands.

Good luck. I benefit greatly by volunteering a couple of days a week on average! I recommend it to everyone as itā€™s good to get out and about and do something constructive. Hope it goes well for you!
