You know I’m too lazy to look myself!
How about a phone call?
All right! I get it! I’m helpless!
No you’re not. Make the phone call, it will make you feel better and you’ll learn something. My random guess is that every vocational rehab is different in every state. They may have similarities but they operate differently.
Boy, if you’re going to get a job or join a program you better get used to doing things you don’t feel like doing.
When I was in vocational rehabilitation… 5 years ago… it was part of the day hospital and out patient program…
In my state back then… It didn’t pay for school…
But who knows now… times are changing and some states are adopting free collage for some incomes and situations. So also look into the free or assisted tuition of the school you’d like to go.
Good luck.
I’ve already gone to their orientation. I am waiting for one of the people to call me back in two weeks. I’m in the trenches already. I’ve been here since 2003. I just want a little advice, because I have a Facebook friend who had tuition, fees, books, and a meal plan paid for. It was in the 70’s or 80’s though.
Thanks @SurprisedJ I have used up my Pell Grant, so I’m looking at other options.
Keep an open mind and don’t expect too much, I mean if they will send you to school that’s a great opportunity to get back in the game with something that suits you. My sz permanently disqualifies me from doing the type of work I used to do but I went and saw a vocational rehabilitation counselor and her opinion was that I was unemployable and should remain on disability.
