Vitamin A is helping my schizophrenia

I’ve been eating carrots with black pepper for a while.black pepper helps absorb vitamin A from vegetables by 10x.

Vitamin A is only absorbed 6% from carrots, but if you add black pepper it’s absorbed by 60%. That’s 10 times as much.

Only eat the carrots for about 2-3 weeks then cut back because vitamin A can increase dopamine and cause psychosis over time.

Vitamin A also increases serotonin, and too much serotonin actually decreases serotonin. You have to balance it out.

Never eat too many carrots with black pepper for too long.

Things I’ve noticed are I feel more emotionally stable. Certain foods I never enjoyed I now enjoy again.

Vitamin A increases iron absorption by 3 fold. Calcium also needs vitamin A for bone health.

Never take vitamin A supplements because they don’t target all RAR.

RAR means retinoids acid receptors.

Retinoids are from vitamin A. Vitamin A is basically a group of retinoids. You have many RARs in your body, and beta carotene (the vitamin A in vegetables) targets all of them. Whereas vitamin A supplements only target 1 receptor and likely toxic.

Hope this helps someone.

I don’t come on here much anymore, but thought this could help.

Thanks guys. Best of luck.

I also forgot to add that vitamin A is stored in the liver for 4 years.

Premature baby’s are likely vitamin A deficient.

Diarrhoea can cause vitamin A deficiency, and vitamin A deficiency can cause diarrhoea, so vice versa.

I am diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and I too have tried vitamin A, it works for sure, it eliminates some of my symptoms with no side effects! Highly recommended!

I always include carrots in my diet.

Thanks for the tip. I like to drink carrot smoothies sometimes, (pasteurised) but having trouble with raw carrots as they seem to make my mind hyperactive. But I might drink more smoothies though.

That’s great @schizofreindly

I’m noticing a huge difference now. It’s been nearly 2 months vitamin A.

I try not to have too much now. Only the recommended daily allowance.

I have a lot of strength lately, could it be the vitamin A?

vitamin a is encountered mostly in the skin and stored for long periods of time in the liver for being fat soluble. vitamin a is what forms rhodopsis which is the light absorving molecule responsible for low light vision and most importantly colored vision. Carotenoids increase production of vitamin a. That brings me to the matter of eye sun absorbtion. Do you notice when you go to the beach all day and takes sunlight indirectly to your eyes you go out the beach feeling pretty good? Apart from other factors, direct sunlight absorsion by the eye meaning looking straight into the sun is highly pshychotropic. I in my pschycosis used to look at the sun to get high. My father who is a doctor institutionalized me for this because I would eventually get blind but my point is that much of your beach feeling good phenomjena comes from eye exposure to sunlight. Quite interesting I think.

I used to find the sun very bright. I’ll try looking at the sun tomorrow and see if I notice a difference now I’m taking vitamin A.

Notice that looking straight at the sun is extremely nocivous. I only did it because I was pshycotic at the time. Don’t look straight into the sun. Never.

Note that at all times you have around 4 months of vitamin a stored in the liver so as you increase vitamin a with carotenoids you are not making an immediate change because you already have lots of vitamin a. you are actually increasing the liver deposit of vitamin a. You won’t feel immediate effects because of suddenly started intaking carotenoids. I don’t think vitamin A helps sz because it has always being there. Without vitamin a you would not have night vision.

Please don’t do this.

@egofree

That’s exactly what I thought.

And no I never look directly at the sun.

I wonder if a good vit regimine could help out. Just taking a multi doesnt always make me feel the best. But i would like a custom vitimin setup that i take every day

@ablue

Best off avoiding supplements. Better getting vitamins from food I think.
