Veggie burger

I had a veggie burger Yesterday and it tasted better than meat,

I really want to cut down on my meat intake and have for a long time, meat kinda doesnt agree with me very well, chicken is ok but if i could find an alternative to that i’d try and eat that,

the only thing about it is that i have been eating meat for so long that its hard to change.

I currently have 3 different types of veggie burgers in the freezer, all of them good. I also had the same issue with meat not agreeing with me, beef was the worst.

Making a giant batch of falafel is a good place to start in my view. I’m not very into the mock meat stuff but I love chickpeas and lentils etc!

Most veggie burgers are not really mock meat anymore, from bean or beetroot burgers to the more traditional soya based burgers which like tofu can be infused with any kind of flavours. But falafel is always great.

Yummy :yum: I think there is so much good veggie stuff out there … my partner eats meat but I introduced him to some really good food that he never thought was possible … still eats meat which is fine but I don’t think he appreciated the vegetarian stuff before.

I’ve probably wasted about £50 trying vegetarian food that was awful.

I really want to eat food that tastes good and is more sustainable and i dont see why not if it tastes good, the burger i had tasted better than meat, more flavour,

Did you know that all the meat farms on the planet take up an area the size of North & South America?.

There are lots of simple vegetarian/vegan recipes out there. Good luck!

I’ve only eaten one plant based burger in my life. It was the “Impossible Whopper” at Burger King. I thought it was really good and if I didn’t know it was made from plants I would have thought it was really meat. But it was also much more expensive.

I love meat and I hate vegetables. Lab grown meat would solve the moral dilemma of killing animals and I would be willing to try it if it becomes widely available and is shown to be safe/healthy, but for now I think animals should be killed as quickly and as humanely as possible.
