Vasectomy covered?

Im gonna call my co care coordinator tomorrow and ask if she can look into whether a vasectomy is covered under my plan. I live in Arkansas and some of the politics on healthcare can suck for this type of thing but I read 40 states said they covered it under Medicaid under some survey. I’m 37 and I don’t think I’ll find anyone that I want to have kids with. I’ve never wanted kids and I don’t want kids right now. It’d be a rare or impossible instance where some chick that could support us that just has to have my kids. I’d maybe say yes then. That’s extremely unlikely to happen though. So I got some thinking and finding out to do.

You mean VAsectomy? lol. Nearly had one done years ago. Its Done Under the NHS here for Free.

Just buy some tight fitting underwear - cos your balls will swell to fck.

Dont intend to have children now - and current partner is 55 - so no chance of babies popping up. She went thru the change at 40.

Thanks I fixed it. Yeah I’d buy some tighty whities.

Honestly - from what i hear - its just like having a mild toothache in your balls. 20 minute procedure. You will have to wank a few times into a tube tho - cos it takes a while to give a clear test - if you want the accompanying certificate of being sterile.

Yeah tighty whiteys tho - your balls will thank you for it.

Yeah I’ve read into it. It takes about three months for your balls to clear out the semen before you’re in the clear. It may have been 30 days but I think I remember three months. I’m gonna ask my brother in law about it if I am eligible to get one. He got one done. Once you decide , the biggest thing seems being nervous about getting the procedure done.

Yeah thats right. Best of Luck

Honestly from what i heard - the worst bit is only the anesthetic needle going in each of your balls. Its not as bad as people make out.

Ok. I’d like to be put under if at all possible. The needles don’t go into your actual balls though right? I’d deal without going under though. No it’s probably just a pinch in that area. I’d be freaked about them cutting me open while awake. I’d deal though.

Err Yeah? They cut and seal the Vas Deferens Tubes in your testicles?

Yeah I can do it. Labor isn’t opening up your balls though. But they say it’s a minor surgery so I shouldn’t be to worried.

Not so much the pain as the procedure but if it’s minor. I really don’t want to be awake but I can deal. Just relax and let it happen.

It’s an out patient procedure, takes about a hour. Make sure you have it done by a urologist not a regular doctor. I had a regular doctor due mine and he butchered me, black and blue, swelling right up to the tip of my dong.

This is understandable. Nobody wants to have to be conscious during painful procedures. But consider:

  1. There is less risk involved (some people have bad reactions to full anesthesia)
  2. A lot of people would prefer to be fully conscious when a doctor is handling their junk
  3. Local anesthetic is effective on the pain for most people.
  4. You will be able to drive yourself home afterward.

There might be options for full anesthetic for people who cannot deal with being conscious. They probably just cost extra. That is how it works at the dentist, anyways.
