Update on my new fur baby

She’s settling in. Apparently she prefers to go on pee pads. I noticed she refused to go outside so I asked my husband to get pee pads. Since then, (we just adopted her earlier today) she has gone on the pads 3 times. I’m hoping she either continues to go on pee pads or that she learns to go outside.

She demands I keep petting her if I stop, but is not ready to sit in my lap. And prefers to stay right next to me.

She comes to me when I call her which is amazing. I’m trying to use her new name as much as possible to help her learn it.

She has de-worming meds just in case. We put it on her food with peanut butter and she ate it all up! Yay!

She’s settling in nicely

Maybe go outside with her to begin with?

She sounds adorable, how you getting on with her today? @LilyoftheValley

@anon70282812 i go outside with her for 3 minutes (it’s frigid out) every 30 minutes telling her to go potty. She’s trying her hardest to get back inside the entire time. She’s from a warm climate so is not used to cold or snow. That’s why I’m teaching her to go on command with the pee pads. Once she learns the command, she can learn to go outside on command.
