Up at 2am again who's up?

Interesting… I had been taking it at night. Thanks for the thread btw.

Unfortunately I think the abilify is effecting sleep ether way. I’m having dreams that are not refreshing… almost like bad dreams even.

I’m gonna hold out a little longer bc I like some aspects of how I’m feeling… thanks again for the insight!

Abilify amped me up and makes me more volatile than any other med I’ve tried…

Oh see I can’t do math lol. I had you going back to bed already. You still have the best part of the day left.

Yes, I take abilify in the am. Honestly, the best ap I’ve ever been on.

Good morning free. That’s terrible, I really like to get 8 to 10 hours of sleep. That’s what I do best with. But I only got 4 hours. I feel fine now but I’ll most likely need a nap and then I’ll be up in the middle of the night again. It’s a bad cycle. I skipped the nap yesterday hoping to break the cycle but it didn’t help. Oh well maybe a smidge manic. Good cus I have to go shopping today and need the energy.

That’s cool to hear!

The only reason I have two variables going at the moment is that quitting Ativan was kind of a bonus. One doctor prescribed it and so many others frowned upon it.

It’s been this way my entire life. Not even elephant tranquilers can put me down for long :upside_down_face:. No worries. It will eventually affect my health; however, my mother is almost in her 80s and is the same way and her father never slept more than 4 hours a night and lived to an old age

When I was taking Abilify I had to take it in the morning or I couldn’t fall asleep. Now that I take Abilify’s cousin Rexulti I have to take that in the morning too. Same thing. It’s got the anti-depressant properties like Abilify does, so it’s stimulating to a degree. I’m not surprised your having vivid dreams with it. I would talk to your pdoc about switching to mornings. My 2 cents.

I weaned off of benzos recently, and I am feeling much improved. However, a bit overwhelmed at times.

No my pdoc didn’t specify… maybe he assumed I knew by now. I think switching to mornings is healthy advice.

Your dr didn’t specify…hmm…red flags…I’m a bit jumpy towards drs. Justifiable paranoia

yea try that. It will give you a nice little boost for the day. I also take saphris, which makes me sleepy, so the rexulti I take in the morning counteracts the sleepy effects of my morning dose of the saphris. It’s pretty good the way we have it set up. Then the night time dose of saphris just makes me sleepy and helps me fall asleep. It’s a good deal. And I get two aps. Two for the price of one lol

Dang @Leaf I take saphris at night, too. For two hours I’m completely dead…you could hit me over the head with a cast iron skillet, and I would have no idea.

For me it works great to help me fall asleep. I really like it. Plus I don’t have too many side effects. Do you like it?

No he’s a new doctor for me and I have some faith in him already. Bringing him up to speed was tough to do, and monopolized a lot of the time in our two sessions so far.

Saphris makes me thirsty. I like the idea of the sublingual tablet for my body’s sake; however, waiting for it to dissolve is frustrating. BUT it’s wonderf that I just shut off and get at least two hours of undisturbed sleep. I take 10 mg at night

I take 10 mg at night and 10 mg in the morning but my rexulti counteracts the sleepiness of the morning dose pretty much.

I can’t go up on it even if I wanted to. It raises my qtc too much :cold_sweat:

Ah new psychiatrist. That’s tough. I’m seeing a new one as of recent as well. Took me off benzos and moving on with life :hugs::crazy_face:

I’d totally discuss abilify in the am. Especially if on a high dosage. I’ve been on as much as 30 but currently 20 mg
