Undergoing surgery :(

To anyone that’s interested, I am pregnant at the moment as some of you may know.
So I thought I would update you’s…

My baby hasn’t turned head down like he was supposed to do. So now a natural birth would be risky

I am booked in for a cesearean section on the 19th of this month  mixed feelings, scared for the surgery obviously but also overcome with joy that I know my little mans birthday and I’m so excited to meet him!!

Congratulations once again @spiderpig.
I’m sure that everything will turn out fine.

Yes, congratulations from me too. You’ll be fine.

Thank you, feel like I’ve gone on about my pregnancy a little bit :see_no_evil:

But just was fishing for good luck comments as I’m so scared for this surgery. I’m a bit squeamish!

Congratulations and please keep us posted. So excited for you :heart_eyes_cat::heart_eyes_cat::heart_eyes_cat:

Thank you, recovery is 6 weeks apparently ! Little bit gutted that I won’t get to know what contractions feel like. But hey ho!

How exciting!

I had a cesarean if you have any questions.

It wasn’t as bad as people said it was going to be,

Recovery was pretty easy, you just have to hold the baby kinda weird if you breast feed,

Just to keep him off the scar.

You’re going to do great!

Hope it goes well! Good luck!

And for the love of GOD,

Do not watch the surgical videos!

It is horrific and you don’t need to see it.

I’m dead serious, woman…

There’s a programme called one born every minute in the uk, already seen what it looks like :flushed::confounded:
I’m not breastfeeding due to medication that I’m on, but I’m still gonna get a nursing pillow!

If I have any questions, I’ll deffo message you! Thanks doll!

Thanks @anon25098935 :blush::blush:

Hope it go smoothly …!!! Take care tiredout…!!!

I hope things turn out okay!

My mom had to have Cesarean sections for both my brother and me and things worked out.

I wish you the best of wishes on your surgery and the birth of your son, @spiderpig.

Good luck! I had a cesarean at 39 weeks last year with my daughter due to a previous stillbirth and my daughter being so big (just shy of 11 lbs/5kg). It wasn’t so bad. Get up as soon as you can and walk as much as you can. It’ll suck at first, but it will make recovery so much easier. I’m sure you’ll do great!

Solid advice, @LED,

Definitely get up and move ASAP,

It makes a big difference.

How far along will you be on the 19th? Just because you’re scheduled for a c section doesn’t mean baby will necessarily wait. Never know, maybe you’ll get to experience contractions.
