C-sections and vaginal deliveries are very bloody.
Oh, its pure grossness!
Isn’t life magical?
Its gross but it wasnt as bad as I though it would be.
Believe me,
Its much worse on the other side of those deliveries…
I bet it is worse.
When I was in school,
I worked as a surgical assistant for a plastic surgeon.
I’ve seen a lot of aggressive surgery,
But the first time I saw a c-section, I almost lost it.
I think it was how super casual bouncing that uterus all around was for the doctor,
Borderline not being careful.
It got to me,
Possibly because I’m a woman?
Maybe a c-section isn’t the nicest thing to see.
Better getting a baby out than a tumor, I’d say.
I had my son in 2013,
It was a c-section.
When he was finally born and they started giving me the good drugs,
I told the anesthesiologist not to let them do anything weird to my uterus,
That I loved my uterus,
And started crying.
She seemed very sympathetic at the time,
But I’m sure she was fighting back laughter.
People under anesthesia say the weirdest things.
Yeah happens to my sister when she is under anesthesia.
I’ve had people say some very disturbing stuff in recovery,
Stuff I still think about years and years after the fact.
A lot of it is funny,
But every once in a while the last person you expected will drop some seriously cryptic (shit).
Anesthesia does (fuck) with your brain.
This is exciting.
The very beginning of life.
I think that the most precious gift you can receive is the gift of life.
In the future alternative methods to create people may be introduced.
But as of November 3, 2017 there is no alternative( yet) to the female womb.
This is the only method of birthing new people since the dawn of humanity.
It is one of the wonders of nature, how the females carry wombs and the wombs
nurse fetuses till they get out eventually in what is known as birth.
Now I’m worried about what I said during my surgery. The surgeon did say, “she’s a fighter” with a big grin on his face. OH MY GOD!!!
Don’t be embarrassed!
People do/say weird things under anesthesia,
Its totally normal.
Some people do try to literally fight coming out of anesthesia, and that’s always fun,
Believe me, no one that works in recovery is surprised about anything!
They don’t think twice about that stuff…
Okay. Thank you.
When I was being born my mom turned to my dad and said “you did this to me!” Lol
For some bizarre reason, when I was locked up for months, one day the hospital staff showed us a graphic film of a mother having a baby. I’ve seen real car wrecks with bloody people strewn over the road, I’ve seen a guy laying in the street dead near my group home minutes after he got blasted in the chest with a shotgun. I saw a million fights when I was a kid going to school. None of that bothered me too much.
But man, when I saw that baby being born onscreen. I had to quickly get up and leave the room or I would have passed out. The miracle of birth is a disgusting, bloody, mess.
