I remember those days I had a routine in my sleep habits. But then I’ve always been up all night at least part of the time. I couldn’t survive not sleeping even just one night. Can you skip a night of sleep or is it very bad for you?
I have a hard time if i get less than 4-5 hours of sleep a night. Even if it’s broken up into like 3 different sleep episodes, that’s okay. But when i get no sleep at all i rapidly start to get psychotic thinking, especially with self harm delusions. It’s hard cuz sometimes the meds help me sleep and sometimes they don’t, depending on which one my doc currently has me on.
I used literally all of the Sleep Hygiene principles and practices for about 6 weeks when it started paying off. Now, after two months, I sleep like a log every night. Follow all the directions to the letter. That’s what I did. I used to be a horrible insomniac.
I can skip a night, though I don’t normally do it.
In college I used to skip nights to finish assignments and play video games.
I’d like to stay up and play video games again … The memories …
I had insomnia for almost 9 years and it has taken it’s toll on my health. Now I depend on sleep, or else I get physically ill pretty quick. Before when insomnia started I could handle not sleeping, but that changed. I guess some things can’t be reversed.
Ever try ASMR on YouTube for sleep? It works.
If I don’t sleep my mental health plummets
