Two big scares in two days

Yesterday I mistook my bosses demeaner and something he said to mean that I was getting fired from my job. Thankfully I was wrong.
Well, I have a job and get SSDI. Well, today I called up Social Security to take care of some business and to notify them that I had moved from one city to another and to give them my new address. Also, I asked if there’s a Social Security office that is closer to where I live now that I can go to.

The worker who answered the phone gave me the phone number of an office that is about 1/2 a mile away. Also, as long as I can remember I have had to mail in my pay stubs from work to a Social Security office every month so they know how much income I have.

So I called this new office near me to ask if I should mail my pay stubs to them now instead of my old office. A women answered and while we are talking she says" Well it looks like they stopped giving you SSDI". What? A chill literally went down my spine. I’ve had enough to deal with for the past three months. Now she says they’re taking away my income?

I said, " How can they do that? I just got reviewed 6 months ago and they told me I still qualify for benefits". She says, " I’m going to put you on hold for a minute I’ll be right back". Well, she comes back in a minute and she says, “Sorry, I made a mistake, I thought you were on SSI.” She says, “You will still get SSDI”. Life is good again! And not only that, she told me I don’t have to mail in my pay stubs each month. Good, one less thing to have to worry about.

you know this one?

Deleted video.

Has that ad about 5 things not to eat if you want to lose weight. I clicked the banana by mistake. I dunno. Did that get my computer in some kinda trouble?

I don’t know why we even have to turn our pay stubs in since they have all our work history info available immediately to determine what payment amount we get for SSDI. Or maybe I’m mistaken? I don’t work now so I don’t have to deal with that BS currently.

They want to know my current income because they want to know when it changes. And my income does actually fluctuate sometimes and they want to know that.

Oh I guess that makes sense then. Maybe they just have the total amount earned and not the hours worked and such. That would make sense then.

I don’t know…

Me either. You might listen to the song though. It’s by John Prine. ‘That’s the Way that the World Goes Round.’ I posted the one with the lyrics. Don’t click on the big banana.

My problem with money is worrying about the stock market because my sister has my annuity invested. If the stock market does well, I earn enough to pay for car insurance and repairs. If the stock market doesn’t do well, my annuity is slowly diminishing. I’m not ready to even think of not having my present life style which allows me many freedoms and perks but I may have to. So, every afternoon, my stomach does flip flops when I check the stock market report. I have to find a way not to have to depend on it. I could leave the home and live on less money, but I am not emotionally ready to leave my provider. Sigh !!

Glad evrything turned out ok! Cortisol overload!
