So, the lady in the show was saying “there are people…”
And I added “who live alone”. And she said “of course who live alone”
If you spend all day watching tv looking for a coincidence or something “meaningful” like you said you do, then it shouldn’t surprise you that eventually you’ll find something.
I watch TV few hours
I know tv is triggering for me.
But also radio, Internet and everything lol
Sorry, coincidence @Om_Sadasiva .
TV changes words to me. I picked a fight with the voices. I hope you can get them under control. Don’t give up hope.
You need to up dose of meds I think
I sometimes have similar experiences with my partner. I’ll be like talking to him in my mind and then he says what I was thinking about. It’s weird, but I know for sure that he is actually not hearing me.
Out here in the badlands of the back country me and my homies call that a coincidence.
In other words, “Even a stopped watch is right two times a day.”
hi @Om_Sadasiva
I’m worried about your well being and mental health.
You seem to be expressing a lot of psychotic symptoms on the forum. That must mean a lot of suffering for you and you are perhaps quite frightened.
The TV lady is of no significance. Ignore that.
You sound quite unwell.
Can you see your psychiatrist soon? It seems like you need to review your medication and perhaps increase your anti-psychotic dose.
It’s important that you make it a priority to see your prescribing doctor.
When is your next appointment mate?
…Tv doesn’t talk to normal people. Thus the problem here.
I used to get messages off of horoscopes. That really is such negative stuff. It doesn’t make it anymore real but just enforces the delusional process on your brain. Sorry your struggling matey but you know what is what.
Positive symptoms are seductive. They really are because your brain is telling you to experience something as real that no one else sees. That is the problem.
My next appointment is in January of 2020
I had a strong delusion that I was getting coded messages (like between good friends) from the T.V. during my first psychotic break. I was so sure that they were finally breaking down the barrier between the screen and me. If you’re still delusional I know this may be hard to understand…but that really was a delusion. That sensation is what makes it so. I’ve gone a long way without having another delusion this end of the year but, it can still happen, and just because I know now doesn’t mean I’ll ignore the notion in the moment. There’s some strange quality to those moments that just allow you to think so much is happening out off of so little. Just try to grasp reality inbetween those moments and rationalize yourself into a confident zone so you aren’t afraid of conspiracies or things that could make you feel fear for no real reason.
I communicate with tv. Some days it’s all about coincidences. Whatever I think or say, tv says it.
One day the journalist on the tv was flirting with me and I sent her a message on Instagram. Now I know it was a delusion.
Don’t buy in. It’s a symptom and you know it.
The minute the media is talking specifically to me I know it’s rubbish. It seems so real but I know it’s not because it’s not reality…It’s my warped version of reality.
You learn some things here matey. You learn boundaries of your symptoms and that is how you move forward. Many of us have been there before so we’re not talking shite to you. We are offering that fact that you can move forward in your life and do better…
You really can do better and most of that is taking the pills.
Thanks mate. You guys help me.
You doubt and I doubt too.
But the tv thing is difficult.
So what does that prove to you? I mean are you trying to tell us something like that incident proves telepathy or it reveals the secret of life and the unknown mysteries of mankind or whatever else just because some lady said some insignificant sentence? Are you saying this one incident proves that the TV talks to you? And that this insignificant coincidence proves you were right all along? Because you aren’t. And it doesn’t.
I don’t know. I don’t say that I am gifted or anything. Just saying that some crazy coincidences drive me crazy
Yeah, that’s very common. Some coincidences are so weird that they are pretty neat and cool. But if it’s really bugging you, you have my sympathy.
