As just that, crazy coincidences, it is your brain attributing unnecessary relevance to what is actually something unrelated or of low importance to you.
I thought music was sending me coded messages and once I was medicated I realized how general the lyrics were and how they could be interpreted that way only by taking the rest of the lyrics out of context. Try paying attention to the full TV story, paying attention to the details only is why you are getting confused.

Yeah, my doctor asks me every time I see him if I’ve heard the tv or radio talk to me or address me or tell me anything specific. He uses it as a gauge of how bad my symptoms are.
The tv isn’t telling you anything. It’s your brain. It’s not even a coincidence. It’s not really happening.

This is a delusion. The tv says so much it would be weirder if things we thought of were NEVER mentioned.
