This woman in her 70s now she grew up an only child to a single mother
Never met her dad but her dad paid for her to go to boarding school
The school she attended was a convent school run by nuns and she never broke the law but she was a bit of a rebel
Anyway, aged 11, the school had her admitted to an asylum. She was diagnosed with all different things schizophrenia, personality disorder etc
The male nurses were heavy handed sometimes shoving her around. She would break the windows in a bid to break free. The psychiatrists had her zombified drugged up. She said she never heard voices though and doubts there was ever anything wrong with her.
She was finally discharged in 1982, aged 42yrs, having spent 31 years in the asylum.
She has a flat now in London and has a soul mate who lives next door she loves her freedom!
Its just incredible how mentally ill were locked up abandoned left to rot in those asylums.

If she was mentally I’ll at all. Families would lock up kids for lots of reasons, mostly they thought they were too sexual. Crazy times!
