One month ago i started a new medication - invega - and now i can’t breath efficiently at night…(i also bite my tongue a little at night) but my big problem is the lack of oxygen feeling. I’m not fat, i have no allergies i think…so…why is this?
You could be having some sort of adverse reaction to Invega.
I would contact your doctor immediately.
You don’t want to wait when it comes to your breathing.
I agree🙂
Hope you will get help and relief from/with this.
have you considered a gluten allergy? it may also just be that its raising your blood pressure which is swelling your throat. Salt is your enemy. paliperidone (invega) is itself a salt and if im not mistaken it may possibly have an effect on your salt levels. Also meds usually cause increased appetite which means the possibility for more salt intake. Are you having any heart pains at all too or no?
@Wave is right. You should bring this to your pdoc’s attention as soon as possible. Anything that’s affecting your breathing is an urgent matter.
No heart pain no
Strangely enough i had similar problem when i took invega.
Infact i was so zombified i think every organ in my body took a dive
I got taken off it thank the good lord !!!
Wasnt for me. I would contact your doctor
Did you have oculogyric crisis too?
I went onto abilify for the first time and I could not breather efficienlty either possibly it was mainly at night. It felt like my breaths were too shallow and i needed to breathe in deeper. At the psychsitraiist office he said it was probably anxiety related due to the med. It went away after a few weeks or so maybe cant remember exactly
For me, it also didnt start right away after being put on the meds but pretty soon on, like three weeks later maybe
I’ll go to see a docter just in case, but i think it could be anxiety…I have to deep breath over and over, it’s a bit stressful.
Yea it was a bit for me too. I was just thinking at the time what on earth is this…but it went away without extra meds.
