I saw a thread about people being bi, and mostly everyone was supportive and kind. Is anyone here transgender? I am a transgendered girl. I am not out to anyone but 3 people, who I don’t have contact with outside of the internet or texting. And I guess, you guys, now. Anyway, feel free to post here. I was really happy to find a community of SZ and SZA people to connect with, and I would feel the same if I found any transgender friends or acquaintances (I don’t know any)
I did this poll, and if my maths is right, only one person said Transgendered.
They were talking about being able to change the gender of the brains of mice. I honestly think that should be tried first if it ever becomes a thing for humans before all the invasive surgery is done to change a person’s gender just because that’s extremely physically painful and can be extremely dangerous due to infections and such. I’m not against transgender anything I just wish there was an easier way for people to cope with difficulties they have where they don’t identify with their own gender. I mean the genitals form from the same tissue when we’re fetuses so the only thing that makes them one thing or the other is the shape.
Maybe I am in a way. I was FTM when I was Psychotic. But I am openly bisexual. I identify often myself as male. People misstake me for being male both on internet and IRL. I am mom of two boys but not the typical mom. At home me and my husband have chores turned around. I take care of the car and cooking. He takes care of dishes and laundry and tidying. I play with the kids and he makes the rules in our house. I’m the silent “fixer” if something breaks and he is the “talker”. He talks til my ears bleed.
Idk if I just found transgender when I was psychotic and found a solusion to my feelings and why everything was upside down. Or if I really am FTM.
When I was 10 years younger I was obviously prettier since I constantly got mistaken for a girl. Since then I’ve gotten fatter and bone structure changes probably happened and my hair never looks worth a damn anymore. Strangely I liked it a lot but then after I got older and it was impossible to do ever again I just stopped caring and now I want to be a stereotypical middle aged man who is bald on top with a beer gut and a seriously stained wife beater.
I’ve been misstaken for boy/man no matter my weight. When I was in hospital I weight half of my weight today. I tricked some people in there to believe I was boy and 15 years old. They believed me. I looked like a 15 years old boy. I was 32.
They were very upset that there were kids in adult ward. Lol
Just FYI, transgender is still not a sexual orientation. Transgender people are gay, bi, straight, and so on like everyone else. You don’t know how transgender people who saw your poll voted.
My mom’s cancer specialist said a few years ago I needed to start getting tested when I’m 30 but I have a long ways to go before that because I’m still 18. I’m 29 right now. I guess it’s cool I look 10 years younger than I really am? lol
I always like a pragmatist. I am male, but I’m not in to cars. I do like military stuff. We all can express our sexual identities in any way we choose.
I am probably never going to be able to drive if I disclose medical conditions that would hinder it due to the fact I used to have tardive dyskensia or something, I don’t know what it was nor do I care, it was enough to know it was extremely annoying and debilitating and caused by my meds. But I had it where it caused my eyelids to go shut involuntarily until my meds were changed a few years later and then it just stopped. I used to get so angry trying to use the computer and having to force an eye open with a hand.
Anyway my point I was trying to get to was I have no interest in cars because I can’t use them.
It’s good that it stopped with the new meds. Must be really annoying. I used to have Nozinan and my eyes started to roll in different directions. I looked like Marty Feldman. Eyes pointing at different directions. Really painful and annoying.
That’s gotta be just as debilitating by making you effectively blind like I was. Mine also caused pain in the form of migraines constantly and the muscles around my eyes were always sore from overuse though I can’t take the blame for that one since my brain decided it was the smart thing to do and went all vigilante movement Zorro on me.
