How can a toxic family member fit into a schizophrenics life? Especially if they want you to keep tradition and cutting them off will cause the family to break up. Basically someone that won’t change their ways and stress you out every time they’re around. Also they deny your diagnosis and blame you for your symptoms? I ask because they want back in my life after hurting my family and only want the family back together for the sake of having everyone together… They had flowers sent to my house too. A bit more background… they keep everyone in the family separated, everyone dislikes each other for some odd reason and only stay around cause they want to be favorite. Everyone is always trying to one up each other, and everyone has to kiss this family members asks every second.
Home is where the hurt is.

No, and I’m glad. I don’t like being around this person. They’re not around much anymore, but they want to pull me back in again.

You just have to cut them off.
I did the same thing with about half my family,
Never looked back.
My quality of life is improved and they can gossip about me freely,
Win-win.
