Todays workout. Should I buy an Apple Watch?

I also did 100 steps on top of this.

Really getting into working out. Think it could be my new obsession. I’ve also quit drinking soda and eating takeaways. Going on 2 weeks now.

I’m considering buying an Apple Watch SE. At the moment I’m using my phone to synch with the gym equipment but I’m thinking I could track it with a watch instead.

Thoughts ?

An Apple Watch would be very cool indeed. I have heard they are great for exercise. Would be easier to do your workout just wearing a watch rather than carrying your phone around.

Also I think you have earned a treat!

What kind of phone do you have? I’d choose the same brand of watch as your phone for added benefit of syncing. If your phone’s maker isn’t Samsung Google or Apple then it would be fine

Going to try increase my cardio to 5 miles
Cos based on my height and walking speed 5 miles is 10 000 steps.

I have an iPhone so it would make sense to get Apple Watch.

I have an SE and, whilst I probably don’t exercise any more than before, it is good for keeping track with the Health app. You can see your heart rate on your watch and it warned me when I overdid it once. It is also great for playing music if you have Bluetooth headphones you can pause and skip away from your phone. I think they upgraded the SE recently as well.

great work! as for the apple watch id say skip it. could spend the money elsewhere

As somebody who owns an Apple Watch:

They’re good if you’re doing cardio on your own— so like, without a cardio machine that would also tell you how much you’re burning, heart rate, etc.

If you’re using a machine for your cardio, though, the machine typically will give the same stats that the watch would.

But it’s very handy for logging workouts regardless, and checking your progress.

I’d say up to you— I’m personally a fan .

I use cheap watch and smartphone to track steps. I stopped going to the gym a month ago cancelled my membership. I will get back to gym and playing basketball soccer this summer like last summer as I am more motivated in the summer. I still walk like 10k steps a day but in summer I walk more sometimes 23k. Two rounds in the mall are 8k steps.
