Its scary. Ur in classes where u don’t know anyone, a professor that doesn’t care if u pass or fail, surrounded by a bunch of kids who only can think about the next Friday night. Ur wondering if the major u picked is what u want, wondering if school is even worth the time and money. The thought crosses ur mind “hey maybe getting a job would be easier.”
But forget all that bull ■■■■.
U have an oppurtunity. A chance to learn, one thing we take for granted. U can take classes on subjects u’ve always wanted to learn about. Learn a new language, learn neuro science, psychology, physics. Don’t think about the possible paycheck that might come from ur degree. Don’t think about the people u can impress with ur new knowledge. Do it for YOU. Learn because u want to learn. Take the classes u want to take. U might just find that one subject that makes u feel all bubbly inside. Talk to those unknown faces in class. They r just as confused as u. Love the pressure and don’t think about the grade. Just learn and keep learning. If life is to teach our spirit lessons might as well develop our mind too. If u can learn to love learning in the classroom, then whats stopping u from loving the amazing or even painful lessons in life. What ur doing by going to class everyday, studying and doing homework is loving urself. Ur exercising and making friends with ur brain, the one part of us schizos that is normally our enemy. Love urself by learning. And if ur not in school and r reading this, love learning anyway. Books, languages, sciences, philosophies. All ur doing by learning is loving urself. So its up to u. U have a lifetime to live out, meaning a limited time to learn as much as u can mentally, emotionally and spiritually, so why let it go to waste. Knowledge truly is power and as schizophrenics we need to realize that some of that power from learning, is power over our mind, which like i said we sz’s normally have very little of. So take care of ur brain and it will respect u back. So for students or even self scholars, don’t panic, stay calm and have fun. Have a great semester everyone!
