To Keto or Not to Keto?

Yes it is. If you want to lose a little weight. Long term, it is not safe.

My mother lost lots of weight doing keto but I think the main reason she lost weight is that she is eating much less calories. Imo the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories through exercise and eating less calories through diet, not keto necessarily.

But keto is proven to work for so many. But I agree @Aziz @77nick77 its not a long term solution.

Yeah do keto… then try to maintain… with low carb or something more sustainable. You can lose a significant amount of weight with keto… u just have to learn how to maintain it

If I weren’t addicted to sugar/carbs it might be different for me. I’m not one who can really do those in moderation. Could be my mindset though. Idk :woman_shrugging:

I’m cutting sugar cause of bloodwork results and I am dying (not literally) on day two without sugar.

Keto diets are unhealthy in general.
Your best bet is to eat different foods but just try to eat smaller portions.
Try to eat less processed carb foods like white bread and pasta.

But even then it would be unrealistic for you to eliminate bread and pasta altogether.

Your next bet would be to see a doctor that specializes in treating obesity.

So far I’m doing ok on Ozempic but I had a setback yesterday and ate lots of pasta yesterday.

I also count my calories.
