Picked up a few things. A dress in case of another wedding or funeral. A microwave egg cooker. A change wallet. A long sweater. A tshirt. Two hoodies for my 15 year old daughter. I think that is all. All for $8.50.
I pulled a nice coffee maker for a $1 yesterday. Almost bought a few books but I have so many unread books I need to pace myself a bit I think.
If I hadn’t run out of energy my cart would have been overflowing!
I picked up frozen Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes at ikea today. So tasty
oh man, I love thrift stores…got all my clothing there during college…one time I found a pair of bostonian shoes there for like three bucks…I was happy.
@FatMama that’s crazy cheap! Wish we had thrift stores here
I helped my mom drop some stuff of at the Salvation Army store today. She asked if I wanted to look around but I wasn’t feeling it. I used to get a lot of stuff from thrift stores, though. Mostly clothes.
How could it be that cheap?
They get in so many hoodies they start selling a bunch of them for 50cents each. The egg thing and the change purse were 25cents each. The whole store is like that
Wow wish my thrift store was that cheap. Goodwill is expensive compared to your thrift store.
We’ve got a Sally Ann nearby that does the same, scored a few for Squirrelette last month. You can usually get jeans in great shape for under $5. My best score ever was a TEAC Cassette to USB deck for $20. Whoever priced it had no idea what it was actually worth. You paid about $450 for them new.
It’s my go to whenever I have to digitize a cassette.
All that for $8.50! That is so cheap! We have discount stores over here in Australia but they aren’t anywhere near this cheap.
What??? $8.50. That’s ridiculously cheap. Good hunting
Welcome here!
Bed bug eggs can be hidden in appliances, clothes, the hidden corners of books, furniture.
The best thrift stor eI’ve known was in a little town in TN called Howenwald near where The Farm is. There’s a mistreated elephant reserve there. Back in the 70’s the clothes were just dumped in and you’d walk over the hills and grab for a sleeve or one leg of jeans sticking out. Sometimes hippies were there shopping.
