Threshold for Asking for help

Does anyone know what you should put up with symptom wise before you seek med changes or advice.

I don’t want to waste anyones time and I never know what an acceptable level of torment should be to trigger speaking to someone.

I just think I need to be more vocal, as I normally don’t ask for help from anyone until it’s too late and I end up hospitalised.

I’ve put up with more than I should have because I had sz and I thought that’s just how it goes. But different meds work wonders if you can find the one’s for you. You’re also taking a chance that you could have to deal with worse side effects . So switching meds can be time consuming and a bit risky. In my opinion it just depends if you’re willing to take the chance or your OK were your at. My doctor was good about being OK with me making slight adjustments to the dosages and it sped up the process a bit. Or I would call him and he would adjust the dosages over the phone. Just to keep you from getting appointments every week and he says take less or take more. Really glad I explored different meds and found an affordable one that works. So many times I just put up with the crap because I thought it came with the sz . Times when I couldn’t wait for my weekly appointment. Now I go every 6 months and we don’t talk about med changes anymore he just asks about work and my family. If your questioning your mental health I would talk to your doctor about some type of change.

If you’re starting to be miserable again, get med changes or advice.
