Damn that’s crazy. $48,000 worth of bees. Gone.

Well theres like 2 trillion bees out there so there prob better things to fuss about

Their price was $48,000 but their value is much greater. We need the bees to keep everything in balance, without them the plants can’t pollenate. If the plants can’t pollenate the creatures can’t eat. If the creatures can’t eat we can’t eat. Every part of the system is connected to us. Our system has gotten so far away from that connection to nature that awful things like this happen.

Yeah I read the list of things that will quickly go extinct if honey bees go extinct…. Some yummy stuff there.

There are also non-bee pollinators. You should read about the other insects.

I think the media likes to overblow stuff like this

Are honey bees indigenous to Alaska or is there going to be another invasive species disaster?

they have short lives, except those that harvest and keep them alive.
I only really see sweat bees, and sometimes wasps here in rural Iowa.
