We got quite a few nests settled around the house here.
So far after about a year almost, no one has been stung. One even landed on one of the little ones and just flew right off without bothering her.
They’re only aggressive under certain circumstances.
Still would rather them have their nest settled elsewhere…

I remember that post you made about getting stung.
I feel lucky not to have had that happen. They mostly just fly by my ear with that loud buzzing and then I duck my head lol.
My niece had one in her jacket and didnt know… It was funny because she got stung but was like, “It didn’t really hurt that bad.”. Totally acted “whatever” about it lol.
I would probably start cursing and getting pissed…

There seemed to be loads of wasps in the UK in summer 2016. But yeah this year there wasn’t that many, which I’m glad about as well.
They are horrible creatures.

We have both wasps and honeybees here. I think all the bugs know that I’m a sucker.
Haven’t been stung since I was 6, when I shouted a song down a metal pipe with a hornet nest at the end of it. If you don’t bug them, they really don’t want to bug you.

Wasps are part of nature I have no dislike of them.
Wasps can kill me I do have a dislike of that.
So when I go to one of my outbuildings. In the summer.
I carry a epipen and wasps spray.

Like another here, I seem to attract them. I wont see any flyinng around out there. but if i go out there, here comes one. They dont leave either. Not just passing through. they hang out till i leave.
I had some individual wasp/hornet/yellow jackets here. At my last apartment though, there was a ton. My nieghbor had a nest but for what ever reason, didnt get rid of them.
I give them h!!! till I get rid of them and the nest. Spray, rocks, smacking one here and there, jab with a broom, back away, pick them off one by one with shoes, boards, spray, or whatever i can lay hands on.
None of this, above, would happen if they didnt fly up to me several times. But they are never just passing by.

I wish we had more honey bees and less hornets. Ive never been stung by a japanese hornet but i imagine it sucks… they most annoying one is the carpenter bee… fat bumble bees… they like to hover about head level a foot away and just stare at you ive never heard of them stinging people but their kinda in your face annoying…

Yeah, Trump kicked them out of the country too. Or at least he’s working on it.
