With all off the chaos going in in our politics it’s no wonder that the United States lags behind

I wouldn’t say we are the happiest, but at least they say so

I would rename the happiness with stability, fulfillment or purpose or all the above.

If things continue the way they are going in the US, it may end up with young people leaving and moving abroad. I couldnt blame them really.

Thats cool. Ive been wanting to travel europe for ages. Some of my ancestors were from Latvia, so ive got Baltic in me too :slightly_smiling_face:.
Its funny, here in Australia, if you ask someone where they are from they’ll sometimes say England or Germany or wherever thier family came from, even if the person your asking was born and bred in Australia. At least thats my experience anyway. Sorry if this isn’t interesting to you haha. I just love talking about Europe and learning about my family history.

Yeah @Kxev i think that happiness is far from the only thing that makes life good. Happiness is fleeting. You cant hold on to it all the time. There are other things that are of more import in my opinion. Like some of the things you mentioned.

This country is split in two. I miss the 90s so much.

What I’m saying is I don’t think this is the happiest country AT ALL, not even close.

The 90s were way more civilized in the US. And the US exports our division too.

Oh hell yeah that was our golden age. I’m so happy to have had my childhood then.

Yeah @Kxev all the division seen in the US is happening in almost every other Western nation from what i know. Its here in Australia for sure.

Folks, be careful not to get into politics.

Your right @Moonbeam this is a safe place to not worry about that stuff.

I think challengng times tend to be most difficult for young adults just starting out. They have their whole adult lives still ahead of them and it is stressful if they cant see a clear path forward because of uncertain times. Hopefully, they find there way to contentness.

Most of them want to be Social Media influencers.

As far as I’m concerned those peachy jobs should be reserved for shut-ins like us!

Haha jk my bro is a gen z. I feel for any group that is facing less financial security than their ancestors. My generation, Millennials, was similar with the depression and bank collapses that hit us when we were trying to get into career fields in late 2000s.

@Moonbeam That’s how I felt growing up with Vietnam staring us in the face. Very uncertain.

To paraphrase what Robin Williams once said, ‘Oh Canada. You’re like a polite neighbor living on top of a giant meth lab.’

(I love America but we do have our problems).
