This is the fifth time my new nurse hasn't returned my call 😔

I don’t like my new nurse. I think she is a jobsworth. She used to work on the ward. Have been on quite a few wards and this was by far the worst. The staff moral was terrible and the patients had no dignity.

I want a new nurse (and doctor too). But I think on the NHS I am not entitled to that

Is there a complaints department? I don’t know how things work over there.

What’s a jobsworth?

They only do the minimum required by their job. Literally only what their job is worth.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I’d never heard of that term before.

You can request a change in nurse and pdoc, if there are others available.

They sometimes ask for it in writing. Keep a dated copy so you can always say that you asked for a new one. Just remember to mention that they don’t return your calls!

a jobworth sounds like a fancy word for ā€œworker.ā€ I don’t see the difference…

It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel she is right for you you can ask for someone else.
Most people who work for,the NHS are so fed up and tired…

I call my nurse at 9 she calls me back before noon , 3 hour turn around

I would be angry too.

My Pdoc is notorious for not returning calls and it’s so annoying.

Poor communication is a warning sign you’ve got a crappy mental health professional. My old therapist sucked at communication and following anything through. Eventually it turned into her fully avoiding me until I had to quit seeing her. Find a new nurse.

This is what happens when people are not passionate about their work. They don’t care.
