My mom said I am an empath. I don’t know about that.

What does it means anyway?Is that how we deal with somebodies pain?I’m always ready to help by all means someone in need.Is empathy just sympathy for others pain?

I think it’s connecting with another’s pain, feeling it. Not the same pain I don’t think but pain for them. I don’t know the difference between sympathy and empathy is.

Yes,in my case it’s not passive.I tend to help immediately.
