I know you cannot tell me for sure … but if you have it can you tell me if it sounds familiar…
I feel breathless…
As I am writing this, my legs are shaking up and down as I write this.
I feel fidgety…
Maybe other people will not notice but I feel “fast”… my body is moving fast…
I don’t feel comfortable…
I keep moving in my seat…
I am no sad…
As i said it’s not something notisable…
but even my behavior…
i feel hyper…
even this morning i went from wanting to do a degree in history to study midwfery and that’s out of the agenda… don’t want that…
It could be mania, I am not an expert, but maybe not. Maybe abilify gives you more energy (I think that’s what happened to @crimby when on abilify) and you should learn how to spend it usefully, like exercising.
I experienced mania when I first started taking Haldol injections and my doctor said if I get back on my mood stabilizer the mania should go away. I was manic while on risperidone ( first and third time I took it) invega and abilify but the invega and abilify the mania didn’t leave no matter what the doctor did.
sorry got off track, can you talk to your doctor about it maybe your mood stabilizer can be adjusted or he or she can take you off abilify but its helping psychosis maybe they won’t take you off of it.
I had classic symptoms of mania when I took Latuda and thought i had developed bipolar disorder. I had to eventually give up the drug which was messing up my life but only did so completely when it stopped working because for a while the voices completely left (I was fully psychotic again by the time it stopped working as some drugs apparently do). As it turns out some drugs can produce such manic symptoms as it did with me. When I was put back on Invega the supposed mania went away after 4 trips to the Psych Ward.
