Literally, the only reason my doctor put me on it two years ago was because I was getting agitated over all the crap with the neighbors. Seroquel was added on to my Invega Sustenna to calm down my delusions with my neighbors. I’ve calmed down a lot in the past three months, I’m not going out of mind at every noise anymore. Maybe I’ll wait another 3 months and if I’m still feeling stable then I’ll cut the Seroquel.
I think waiting would be a good idea, especially if the seroquel was prescribed specifically because of getting agitated with the neighbors. You do still post about your neighbors and your roommate on the forum so I think it would be risky to stop the seroquel. Definitely talk with your pdoc about any med changes.
Yeah thanks, if I was to stop it I wouldn’t stop it on my own, I would do it under the supervision of my doctor.
I been on it 3+ months now on top of my Geodon cause my rage at home.
I been under control. I want to stop it cause even at 150mg low dose I’m hungry when I’m not hungry.
Hunger is the only reason I don’t want to try seroquel.
Have you tried small dose abilify to help with weight gain?
I take a tiny amount of abilify once every month and it stops risperidone hunger, it just balances me out better.
I tried Abilify years ago and it didn’t agree with me. It gave me tics and weird mannerisms, I couldn’t stay on it.
@ high doses it made me gamble and take drugs, but a tiny amount doesn’t do that, for me anyway
Hope it works out for you
Im in the same situation as you Nick. I was lowered with 200 mg Seroquel with my doctors consents one month ago. The reason why I was put on Seroquel was a mania inducing atypical agent that I had used for 20 years. It caused me to get Insomnia, lifted mood and irretability. Well I
v now finally have no anger issues or sleep problems any more. But I feel that slow and sluggish that I Think is caused by the Seroquel so I`ll lower with 50 mg Seroquel to 550 mg today.
And as time passes by I expect to get to a.much lower dose of,Seroquel.
