Think i might drink again

I just can’t do this ■■■■ anymore. The big books right. My only reason to live is to drink. I have to numb this horrible simulation somehow. I have to unplug

Don’t drink. Talk to us instead. What’s going on? You like Japan, is there anything you’d like to see if you ever visit there?

Man I feel you. Don’t overdo it, though, just a little bit. Getting smashed actually really sucks. More depression only enhanced with vomiting.

Wait what? (my current drinking aside) how has the big book lead you to believe drinking is you’re only reason to live? It’s basiclly a compilation of stories from people who were ruined by drinking and found solace in supported sobriety.

I know where you are, maybe I don’t, but on the surface without any further info I’m going to say I’ve been there. Got my 8 month chip and then some ass offered me a joint and next thing I know I’m drinkng again and going overboard. Drinking alone as I don’t tend to meet up with other drinkers.

I feel like a hypocryte because I’m drinking, but if you’ve got some good sobriety going, I know you get used to it, it becomes comfortable, and I know it’s tempting. But hell, it’s alchohol that often leads me to hate my posting on this forum.

It doesn’t say that it is. But its in the doctors note where he describes one of the patients as saying his only reason to live was to drink. And im meeting with my sponsor @everhopeful

Look at it this way, you’re getting closer to completing step 1. Step 1 isn’t as easy as it looks.

I was burdened with my caring about life. Alcohol made me not care for awhile. But the caring always came back.

I’m sober a long time now! That’s the thing about sobriety. It hurts like hell, and if you don’t drink, it lasts a long time.

Kazuma, you’re doing great by not drinking, you’re going to AA, you’re meeting people, don’t let one set back push you down.

In my opinion, it is all about how you pass the time and get pleasure from doing things. If you can not obtain pleasure from things like watching TV, reading books, going out shopping or swimming etc. then you might think drinking alcohol would be a good idea.

I guess you have lost the composure and calm when facing everyday life.

Your Big Book must be very different from mine. Mine tells me that going to meetings, having a sponsor, working the steps, and working with other alcoholics frees me from being a slave to alcohol.
