Think I forgot to take my heart meds...kind of scared

I was really busy during the time in the morning when I take my meds and I think I forgot to take them…thing is, I don’t know what skipping a dose of my heart meds is going to do…any thoughts? doctor’s office is closed.

Is pharmacy open? Call a pharmacist maybe.

You could also probably call a hospital.

My doctors office always had a doctor on call for such emergencies.

Is it a beta blocker? When I forget my beta blocker my heart rate gets elevated for the following day. Skipping one day isn’t too bad for me. But on day 2 or 3 it gets really bad

You will probably be fine, but it might be a good idea to go to ER just in case. Im sure they can take care of you there.

I am pretty sure I remember taking them though…I am usually really good about taking them…I am just going to retake my normal dose this evening…thanks…I’m not scared anymore.

Well, I don’t know what you can do right now but definitely call someone tomorrow and ask for future reference.

ER is an hour away. thanks though.

Thats probably what I would do as well…you just have to be cautious when advising others. You dont want to cause a death or something :grimacing:.

I forget for a week at a time. Not dead yet. Of course there is speculation I have cockroach DNA, so…

Skipping one dose shouldn’t be a problem but I’m obviously not a doctor or pharmacist.

If your doctors office is closed for the evening you could contact a pharmacist and ask them @jukebox

But I would not double up the dose

is that like pacs/pvcs? i get mostly pacs. but if that is what they are i was told theyre harmless but annoying.

I have a little calendar I use for recording that I took my meds. For each day, I write AM after I’ve taken my morning meds and PM after I’ve taken my evening meds.
