I’m seriously thinking of going to church this Sunday. I remember the last time I went, two years ago. At the end of the sermon everybody joined hands in a big circle and the pastor said a few words. I remember shaking the hands of the staid looking women beside me and saying to her, “ Keep come by back, it works.” She looked at me like I had three heads and I explained, “That’s what we say in AA” .
Not something you want to say to a stranger your first time in church, lol.

Every time I’m at a work meeting and I have to introduce myself there will be a very brief pause where I bite my tongue to keep from saying, “hi, my name’s Sean and I’m an alcoholic.”
Because I’ve done that.

Yeah, I honestly used to get the urge to say that too. 'Hi, my name’s Nick and I’m an addict."
My other problem is that sometimes a slogan pops out when I’m dealing with someone at work. Had a senior manager say they wished they could do something and before I knew it, “turn I wish into I will” rolled off my tongue. Just a bit awkward!
