I haven’t been to church in at least 8 years. Last time I went at the very end of the sermon the pastor had everybody stand in a big circle and hold hands. Just out of habit and a natural reflex I shook the hands of the people next to me and said, “Keep coming back, it works!” which is what we say at the end of every AA meeting. I was slightly embarrassed.
