I’m not feeling well today, wishing I could just call off from my pharmacy job, but things are about to get better. Starting next week I will be teaching more and working at the pharmacy less, so I have that to look forward to. Not to mention I was able to pick up some extra teaching hours for the upcoming semester, so it looks like I’ll be able to move out of the ghetto this summer 
. The university to which I applied for a teaching job informed me that they are reviewing apps for that job, so I will know soon if I’m getting an interview. I also put in several apps for inpatient pharmacy tech at a nearby hospital, trying to get out of the retail pharmacy that makes me miserable.
I may be feeling crappy today, but things will be getting better, have to look at it that way.

I just sent my boss a text, asking him if he can find someone else to work my shift today. I told him I’ll come in if he really needs me to, though. Being finals week, with a lot of my coworkers being college students, it’s not likely he’ll be able to find a replacement, so I figure I’ll have to work. I don’t want to just flat-out call off and leave all of my coworkers screwed over.

You are a responsible employee. I hope you will secure an interview for the teaching job soon. I admire those who work at pharmacy because it is not an easy job to differentiate sound-alike and look-alike medicines.

The hard part is dealing with the angry, bitchy patients, going off on us because their medication isn’t ready yet, or their copay is too high, or whatever. It stresses me out so badly.

Just heard back from my boss. He said they will be fine for the moment, as long as I can come in to work 4-9 (closing time); I had been scheduled 12:30-9. That’s at least somewhat better, somewhat a relief. I see my dr tomorrow, maybe she will up my Haldol a little, we’ll see, couldn’t hurt my anxiety (since she’s unwilling to prescribe a benzo to me). I think I could use a bump up in Haldol anyway, maybe go up to 2 mg twice a day instead of just 1 mg twice a day.

I hope so. I made it through the five hours that I had to work tonight, though it wasn’t easy. All I have to do in the way of teaching tomorrow night is give the final exam, though teaching never stresses me out too badly, then I have Thursday off, so that will be nice. I have this weekend off, too.
