I’ve watched that video like 10 times.

I don’t remember if it was in the video or not, but one thing that bothers me a lot is when people start their sentences with “You know, you could reduce your symptoms and your need for meds if you just… [instert mundance activity here]”

Yes, because I’m sure my psych-team just didn’t think to consider that when they decided my dosage of meds an undeducated person has deemed useless for me if I “just” took a walk more often.

Not a bad project. Any positive views to the normals is a good thing! It’s not bad and it’s positive for sure!

I hate it when people told me “it’s all in your head, just relax and it will go away”

They aren’t actors. Just people with schizophrenia that were chosen for the video. They’ve done this video with so many illnesses

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was happy to find it. I remember watching the bipolar video a year ago or maybe more. And I liked that one as well.

Right! Sometimes I wish we had a little giveaway so at least if someone we know has it we can add that to shared common interests lolol I would be really grateful to make a sz friend in real life even though I’m grateful for all of my online friends. I love ou all :hugs:

i liked the smoking weed part, they were honest

I liked that they were honest as well. People need to be educated on schizophrenia but also the effects of marijuana for an underdeveloped brain. Teenagers and children should not be given marijuana without knowing that they can end up with some serious problems.

for me, i never smoked weed or drank till i was 18. By that time I had heard voices and was very delusional and it just lead me to more drugs like LSD and shrooms and that made me even worse. Now I can tolerate weed but i do nothing else…my 4 meds are very helpful.

but what im saying is i had these issues in high school and no one did anything about it. i started smoking weed a few days after i graduated and the rest was history. now it works medicinal for me

I did a lot of drugs and drank alcohol in high school but stopped in my twenties. I started smoking weed just these past few years to help with my symptoms and I think that it does. I don’t hallucinate more when I smoke BUT I do feel more relaxed and less anxious from the voices or touching so I see it as more of a plus then a negative. I don’t drink (unless I’m being harmful and not tkaing care of myself)

Alcohol is such a depressant. I feel out of my skin after.

I hate alcohol more than any other alcoholic. because I take naltrexone and you cant drink on it at all. ive tried and after like half a beer it makes me feel terrible. i hated alcohol enough to take naltrexone and i hate it enough to keep continuing to take the med. marijuana helps with the anxiety yes. :+1:

Yeah I think meds really affect your tolerance. I can have one or two before I’m queezy drunk. It’s weird. I used to be a big drinker in my teen years.
