They say that the good lord broke the mold after he made me. Everyone knows I’m eccentric but without medication I’m just plain crazy and no good to nobody
I think you’re very funny. Are you a veteran too? I thought I read that in one of your post.
Nope, wish I was. Lot of my buddies joined up after 9/11. I’m a veteran of 9 psychotic episodes though.
No honor in that.
Thanks for the compliment. I’m a writer
My dad and uncle both went to Vietnam in the air force. I have actual footage from the wing of his plane dropping bombs and napalm on north Vietnam.
He died of some strange liver cancer a few years ago.
He thought he inhaled some toxins during the war.
I am a writer too What kind of things do you like to write? I was an admin jockey in the Air Force. I have no glorious stories to tell people. I joined after 9/11 too. I really wanted to be an M.P. but my recruiter signed me up for “general admin.”
I shouldn’t complain though. I went to school while I was enlisted. I had a nice and easy job. I made people laugh a lot and I was very respected.
Oh just read about your Uncle and Dad. I salute them, and say “Thank you for your service.” Bless their souls.
Thank you. And thank you for your service too.
I only hear about the crazy stuff in the military but I’m becoming aware that it’s a way of life for many.
A society within society.
I would like to write a book about my struggles with mental illness and addiction. How I made it through and what I did along the way to stay busy. Kind of a guide for someone who might be newly diagnosed.
A step by step way to pull yourself out of the hole, how to cope with the loneliness and the loss.
I have had some pretty profound experiences lately as a result of being in therapy.
You really should write this book! It’s in you, it’s a part of you, and it sounds like you’ve really lived life. Do it brother.
Original or crispy? How about a side of mashed potatoes?
