How do you reach North? Like not going South, i think you know what i mean

If you use a compass :compass: it will only direct you to magnetic north. When I was taking civil engineering I learned there is a formula to discern true north. It’s only off by a few degrees.

I don’t understand why they didn’t just adjust the face of the compass so that north would truly be north.

Because the true north would be a different degree off from the magnetic north depending on where in the world you are, and normally the magnetic north is a good enough approximation.
