The Pulmonologist I saw was concerned

He doesn’t think I should wait six months and have a follow-up CT scan on the lung nodule they found. It was concerning to him because he doesn’t know what it is. He wants to do a Full-body PET scan to detect any cancer as soon as possible. He showed me the scan of the nodule, and it was surrounded with grey stuff.

Should I listen to this guy, or is he just overreacting? They have to run the PET scan through Medicare first to see if they will cover it.

I would add the two nodules they found weren’t there in 2017, the last time I had a lung cancer screening.

I’d get the pet scan if it’s possible.

I would get it too. Early detection is key to survival.

Thanks @everhopeful @Leaf

I got my PET scan scheduled for Monday August 30th. It runs about $1,800, leaving me to pay $360 (20%).

Thanks @Aziz @Wave @everhopeful @LilyoftheValley @Leaf

I have Medicare and a 20% copay hence the $360 I have to pay.

I agree with every else. It’s probably better to get the scan to be on the safe side as long as you can afford it.
