The matrix

So the matrix series is one of my favourite movie’s I seen them all, I never thought we live in a computer simulation because that just the movie but I think that society is like the matrix a man made world where everyone is a slave and forced to work and everyone wants to be financially free from and nature is what the real world is, you could say in a way

I like to go out into nature and take pictures, but then I like to come home and enjoy the amenities made possible by technology.

Ive always wondered, if they actually realised their film was feeding hundreds of peoples delusions. Im tempted to think it was intentional.

I had similar - with brandon lee in “the Crow”.

Nice! I like to think of humans as being part of nature so whatever we make etc is part of nature too. It’s just we overuse it sometimes. So it’s nice to get a chance to see the other parts of nature. The trees and all that jazz.

Nature is too complex to be part of a video game type world, its more than just 1’s and zero’s

From every grain of sand, every atom and tiniest piece of moon dust floating in space, to super massive blackholes that devour, supernovas and beyond, there is no way a digital program could control all of that.

I’m not saying we’re in a video game. I’m saying videos games and such are an extended part of nature because we, natural human beings, created them. The same way beaver dams are a part of nature or birds nests, so to the things we make are in our nature and are part of nature.

We like to count ourselves out of nature. We are evolved beings too. :grinning:

I get what you are saying but a lot of these things could not be created naturally so you could say that they are unnatural in that way, i.e., man-made.

Its quite a big topic for discussion though, like is it unnatural if you use elements that are found in nature & to use them for a creation of your own that you thought up naturally in the brain.

Not at present. With the progress on quantum computing and the possibility of feasible quantum storage, this could easily happen within my daughter’s lifetine. We’re likely just a stage in the evolution of silicon based life forms.

I like the Matrix movies as well. :grinning:

I think I got what you are saying……this world isn’t perfect…and we can’t escape it. Financially we live by the dollar. And we can’t escape either, but some people are content with making less money……and possessing less material things.

I’d have to see it to believe it, i’ll take real life over virtual reality every time.

I would have preferred a virtual childhood - the real one sucked arse.

i thank my lucky stars that the matrix came out after I regained sanity…my belief system was very close to the matrix…the movie the matrix and 12 monkeys are like schizophrenic delusions…that and the truman show…schizophrenics nightmare.

Somehow I’ve never managed to see any of them, even when I was really into movies.

In the 2021 film, The Matrix Resurrections, the Analyst uses blue pills to keep Neo’s true memories suppressed in the guise of therapy sessions

I see this like a psychiatrist blue pill me in a way with antipsychotics to suppress me and the red pill is when I stop meds
