The Facts About Sexual (Dys)function in Schizophrenia: An Overview of Clinically Relevant Findings

Women with schizophrenia have a better social outcome, longer lasting (sexual) relationships, and more offspring than men with schizophrenia

It’s 2015. Yeah I’m not sure where this research led but I think there’s social and cultural things that come into play. I’m not sure how you differentiate the male/female things over things like this over the general populace…Like do males fall behind females in these areas anyways? You don’t have to have a mental illness but there’s other factors involved…Yeah. Feel the pain but I’m not sure if this sort of thing is valid in our community.

Can you simplify?

I think there’s other issues with males falling behind females and it’s wrong to pidgeon hole it into a fact. There’s plenty of cultural and societal constraints on both sexes and it’s not accurate to say that males fall behind specifically because of mental illness. Society is forever fluid and there’s history where it changes.

Do you want to close thread?

I’ve not an issue with leaving it open. I was just stating an opinion but I’m dubious about certain studies on pubmed from 7 years ago. I’d like to see more information and more studies if your trying to prove something that has a big bearing on our community. We have so much troubles with toxic male behavior as it is.

Knowing enployees in work areas having a sexual relationship (having sex with each other, sex talk, swx boundaries) seems weird and toxic… either way its been like this for many years ago. Im guessing its normal. So i need to accept the enviroment, but i know how much i feel bad about it, inb4 i might get into it.
