I do not have much to say in this evening after my ritual. It is cold here and then we have a lot of snow, more than usually, we have had a real winter with -33 C on many days, but I am feeling good, this winter has passed very fast and I have had many things to´do. People have liked my photos, I have many I have not published yet. An unfortunate event happened today, a Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny died in the prison in Russia, when he recovered from the poisoning in the German hospital he should have never returned to Russia. RIP It is 7 PM and I am going to have a walk,I have two webinars in this evening, so I am busy.
I went for a walk, there was a heavy snow storm, my beautiful summer photos bring good thoughts to my mind, I like clouds with shadows and lights, you can find these pics in my pics/photos thread. Here is a pic where I am writing.
I had my morning walk and I went to one grocery store, however I visited two antique stores. A person who runs one has seemingly become old and I closing his store, however he has had difficulties to sell products such as paintings and furniture because in the town people have no money to buy, the same pertains to the whole eastern Finland which is why the hospital system is running out of money and f.ex, the er is being closed. The psych services are being cut down as is the current government doing to the whole economy which is why there has been so many strikes. The government tries to elevate some business activity with the US military f.ex. because they are running out of money, Russians are rapidly selling their real estate in Finland and the whole construction business sector has collapsed and as always other industries will follow.
Here is one pic from Lappeenranta, Finland, 1987, things were good then, but Russians have left the city now and many businesses have gone bankrupt, they lost their Russian customers as happened here also in the town where I live and the great number of real estates are vacant in Lappeenranta and Imatra, near the Russian border they have real difficulties. Ukrainian refugees who have come here do not contribute to the economy in the same way as Russians did. In Finland there are appx. 65000 Ukrainian refugees and the government is paying a lot of money to maintain them. Finland has given appx. 2 billion euros in military and other aid to Ukraine since Feb 2022.
