Tell me about your experiences with catatonia and ECT

I was diagnosed with catatonic type schizophrenia, and I have some questions. What are your experiences with catatonia? How long did it last for you? Did you ever experience Oneiroid syndrome? Was it abated with the administration of antipsychotics, benzodiazapenes, and finally ECT?

And what was your experience with the side effects of ECT? And how long did it take for them to decide to give you ECT?

Short-term memory loss after the ECT. I got the ECT 4 years after my initial diagnosis.
