Socrates: one of the giants of philosophy in ancient Greece. He went around questioning everything about life and taught what he knew to anybody who cared enough to listen including young Greeks. He questioned authority and angered lots of people in Greece by making them look foolish, pompous and inept. He made lots of enemies and when he was an old man his enemies banded together and had him arrested and tried in court on charges of “corrupting the youth of Greece with his ideas”. He famously tried to defend himself but was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was forced to drink hemlock, a strong poison.
That apple pie is sexy by the way.
